RC-1138 "Boss"

2005's Star Wars: Republic Commando was a charismatic, gritty, squad-based FPS that put you in the boots of Delta Squad commander RC-1138 (that number that pops up through Star Wars lore, thanks to its association with Lucas' first movie THX-1138,) a clone trooper better known simply as "Boss." Although he initially seemed little more than a Star Wars-themed knock off of Master Chief, Boss provided us with a meaningful connection to the faceless soldiers of the clone army long before we fell for Captain Rex, Commander Cody and their brothers in Dave Filoni's Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Boss was further developed as an independent and grounded character across five novels tracking events from the game (which was set just after Attack of the Clones), through the Jedi-culling drama of Order 66 and concluding with members of his buddies in Delta Squad joining a black ops unit within Darth Vader's 501st Legion.
