34. Ah, so THAT'S why Dooku went with Jango Fett

Yeah, we may have all really wanted a Boba Fett game, but this was the Attack of the Clones era, so we made do with his "father" for Bounty Hunter. Despite some wonky controls and an archaic system of limited continues, the game still holds a place in the hearts of fans for its (now obsolete) lore contributions. This involved everything from learning how he met fellow Episode II bounty hunter Zam Wessel to how he acquired the Slave I. But the really cool thing for gamers was learning how he earned the mantle of becoming Count Dooku's template for the clone army of the Republic: defeating rogue Dark Jedi Komari Vosa.

"I worked a bit to help project lead Jon Knoles fit his story into the larger continuity, and then I developed Jango's backstory further in the Open Seasons limited series from Dark Horse," says current Hangar 13 studio head Haden Blackman, who spent 13 years at LucasArts. "In both the game and the comic, Jon and I were trying to connect or explain away all of the various – and often conflicting – references to Mandalorians, Jango's mentor Jaster, Boba Fett, and other characters that had appeared in the larger continuity over the years. I think I'm most proud of creating the Death Watch, the offshoot of the Mandalorians."
