23. Teaming up to slaughter Jawas in the name of teamwork and camaraderie

It was a bloody day on Tatooine. Teamed with Dan in Knoxville and Ethan in the other room, the smuggler named Scee Bayk braved the Jundland Wastes for no particular reason. But let's just say it was a bad day to be a Jawa. Things started out simply enough. "Look, Jawas!" one of the group typed. "Let's kill them!" cried another. It just happened. And the next two hours of carnage were absolutely glorious.

That probably isn't something you experienced while playing Galaxies – but odds are, if you stuck with it long enough, you probably have your own distinct memoires. As an MMO, the game was far from faultless, but it's amazing how much one night of bonding with friends while slaughtering Jawas can stick with you forever.

Haden Blackman led LucasArts production efforts for the game upon release recalls a particularly memorable moment of his own: "Seeing a Krayt dragon in-game for the first time," he says. "I came over a hill on Tatooine, and there it was, lumbering towards me. The sense of scale was phenomenal."
