Jet Fighter

If you're familiar with the fighter plane mode in Atari's Combat cartridge for the Atari 2600 home console (which borrowed from Kee Games' groundbreaking 1975 arcade title Tank), then you're familiar with the basic gameplay of Jet Fighter. Two players duke it out, dog fighting on screen under the control of two joysticks on the cabinet. From a broad perspective, games like Jet Fighter presented the last of a breed of simplistic discrete logic games before more complex titles came on the market the following year – some of which were fueled by development money from Warner Communications' acquisition of Atari that year.
