Fallout

The first Fallout was the best Fallout – fight me but don't @ me. The way it applied post-apocalyptic grit to shiny, 1950s pulp sci-fi was perfect right out of the gate, delivered with an edge of gallows humor yet to descend into stereotype. It also picked up a forgotten baton dropped by the Quest For Glory series, providing at least three solutions for every problem based on your abilities. There was always a way to fight, talk, or sneak your way out of every problem and none of them felt like cop-outs or bad choices – they were just choices, and they were yours.
