Tomb Raider 2

One year after the original Tomb Raider the sequel made it out in time for Christmas, and managed to outsell it. While some of its creators had wanted Lara Croft's first outing to be her only one, money talks and Tomb Raider 2 was rushed through development. Still, cynical though it was, it gave people what they wanted. Tomb Raider 2 was a globe-trotting adventure, with levels set in China, Venice, and Tibet as well as an oil rig and a sunken shipwreck. It added vehicles and fluid new techniques to Lara's acrobatic moveset, as well as a swinging ponytail to accentuate them – even in these early days, Lara Croft's hair physics were a big deal.
