12. Batman: The Brave & The Bold (2010)

Other Batman games focused on the grim, mature version of the character but there's more to him than that. The light-hearted Batman of the 1966 TV series and the Brave & The Bold cartoon deserved his due as well and this side-scrolling beat-em-up delivered. It was structured just like the cartoon, complete with opening credits and a different guest star as player two in each episode – Robin, Blue Beetle, Hawkman, and Green Lantern, who used his powers to drop green Cadillacs on enemies. It was a pitch-perfect take on a version of Batman and his world just as valid as the scowl in a cowl.
