Planescape: Tides of Numenera

The prospect of a sequel to Planescape: Torment is enough to make even the most grizzled admirer of old school computer RPGs go giddy. Torment: Tides of Numenara is about as close as we'll likely ever get – a "spiritual" successor that trades Planescape, an old D&D setting surely trapped in licensing limbo, for Numenara, a bold "science-fantasy" tabletop role-playing game created by Monte Cook, a veteran RPG author with more than enough cred to pull it off. If you're skeptical of its worthiness, rest assured: its harshest critics were easily convinced, evidenced by a Kickstarter campaign that was fully funded within hours of its launch.
