The modding community for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V never fails to impress us with its imagination and weird sense of humor when it comes to tweaking, reskinning or totally reinventing elements of the game as homages to other media. The latest? Disney's The Lion King.

MrMarco1003's The Lion King Pack adds 12 characters from Disney's 1994 animated film, including: Simba in both adult and young form, Timon, Pumbaa, Kiara, Nala, Scar, Mufasa, Rafiki and the Hyena trio of Ed, Shenzi and Banzai. As you can see in the video above, they're remarkably good models – and there's a reason for that – they're pulled from Square Enix' 2005 Disney-crossover RPG Kingdom Hearts 2. So, yes they look awesome...but there's a reasonably good chance the mod won't be around for long once the lawyers get a look at it.

Creator MrMarco notes that The Lion King pack requires the AddonPeds script mod to function, and because Mufasa, Scar and adult Simba replace GTA V's deer models out in the wilderness, you can only use one of them at a time. Given that the mod may have a limited shelf life, we suggest you go grab it from here as soon as possible.

Here's another video showing off how great it looks.
