Natalie Dormer, best known as Margaery Tyrell from HBO series Game Of Thrones, will play an Asari doctor in the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Her character is Dr Lexi T'Perro, a doctor and psychiatrist stationed on your ship the Tempest. She's in charge of the welfare of the crew but according to creative director Mac Walters she has some personal issues of her own. Hopefully ones that will make a good game quest later next month.

"She's got some experience and wisdom under her belt," says Dormer. "And in that way she's able to advise the player. She isn't without emotion or compassion so she sort of tries to walk the line of the professional doctor but sometimes she tips over it."

As well as slipping in a Game Of Thrones novels joke during her reveal trailer Dormer also mentions one of her Game Of Thrones costars Gethin Anthony (AKA Renly Baratheon) who is also in Mass Effect: Andromeda and playing the part of chief engineer Gil Brodie.

It's not Dormer's first video game role, she also took her role as Margaery to Telltale's Game Of Thrones spin-off.
