"We’ve always been intrigued by different visual interpretations of our music," say British electronic duo
'Under Neon Lights', a track by British electro-stars The Chemical Brothers and co-written by and featuring singer-songwriter St Vincent, has been given a virtual reality makeover.
The song was first played on BBC Radio 6 Music in June 2015 and features on the album Born in the Echoes. The virtual reality experience (it can also be viewed in 2D) features a girl running through a world of flowers and trees before being carried to a house by a bird. As it continues the colorful journey becomes a visual story about growing up.
"We’ve always been intrigued by different visual interpretations of our music, so we were excited to see what the Within team would come up with in VR," say The Chemical Brothers.
The virtual reality experience was created by Jono Brandel, Zach Richter and Within, a VR content company based in LA. Until recently the company was called Vrse and received acclaimed for its documentary about the Syrian refugee crisis, Clouds Over Sidra.
