We already know that Injustice 2 – the DC Comics fighting game – had a roster packed with big-hitters like Catwoman, Wonder Woman and Superman, but this latest trailer reveals the three characters that will be available through downloadable content.

Red Hood's best known iteration is as Jason Todd, who was a resurrection of Batman's sidekick Robin, one who had been murdered by Joker. He's anti-crime, but also sort of anti-Batman. This version of the character appeared in Batman: Arkham Knight.

Starfire, AKA Koriand'r, is an alien princess and a member of the DC Teen Titans. Her body can absorb ultraviolet radiation and then convert it to energy, and fly at supersonic speeds. Thanks to some Warlords of Okaara training she's also skilled in combat.

Sub-Zero and his icy powers are of course a staple of the Mortal Kombat series. The title is actually shared by two brothers, Bi-Han and Kuai Liang. Their nemesis is Scorpion.

The three characters will be available as part of the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition and the Injustice 2 Digital Deluxe Edition. The game will be released on May 16.
