Three months after its initial release on iOS, Mario finally lands on Google Play
Super Mario Run – Nintendo's first Mario game for smartphones, released for iOS devices on December 15 last year – is finally available for Android devices. Originally announced as a March 23rd release, Nintendo surprised everyone and slipped it out a day early. You can download it from Google Play here.
Just like the iOS version, Super Mario Run is a "free to start" game on Android. The initial download comes with a trial of its World Tour, Toad Rally, and Kingdom Builder modes, with courses 1-1 to 1-4 available for free. The full game is available through a single in-app purchase of $9.99, and after that there are no other in-app purchases or micro-transactions.
The the iOS version of the game was also just updated to version 2.0, bringing new playable Yoshis to the game. These Yoshis come in different colors, and when you play Toad Rally with a dino of a particular color, you'll acquire more Toads of that color.
