Everything you need to build your own
We all like Guardian Swords in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, right? They're like Zelda-themed lightsabers, so what's not to like? If you'd like to build one of your very own...one that lights up and everything, the folks over at Adafruit – the site for makers launched by famous hacker and engineer Limor "Ladyada" Fried in 2005 – have you covered. They've posted this video showing you how they 3D-printed a model of the iconic blade, and have posted instructions for everything you'll need to build your own over on their website here.
This is something for dedicated makers, as you'll need access to a $4,000 Type A Machines Series 1 Pro 3D printer, but if you're so inclined, the page includes all the files you'll need for the 3D printed parts, circuit diagrams and and a shopping list for all the additional bits you'll need to buy. The 34 inch-long sword was first rendered in Autodesk Fusion 360 using reference images from the game and is designed to be 3D printed in several pieces that are then connected together using screws, it lights up using Adafruit's own-brand NeoPixel LED light strips.
