Bioware showed off nearly 5 minutes of new 'Mass Effect: Andromeda' gameplay at The Game Awards 2016
Bioware's big reveal at The Game Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday night was nearly 5 minutes of new gameplay footage from its upcoming sci-fi role playing game Mass Effect: Andromeda. The footage shows off the scope of the huge open world environments, the new six-wheel-drive Nomad vehicle, the Pathfinders' ship the Tempest, along with some of the new gadgets, gizmos, weapons and powers. The footage also reveals that the new game will place a greater emphasis on resource management than the previous Mass Effect trilogy. "Though you start out with a ship and the Nomad, almost everything else you need you'll have to find, steal or craft yourself, and that's critical to your survival," the voiceover tells us. "These worlds have many dangers, from environmental hazards to hostile wildlife."
There's still no specific release date, but Bioware and Electronic Arts are still listing "Spring 2017."
